PHP 5.3 is scheduled for a stable release this coming Thursday 25th June. How long would it take to add into EA? I mean are we talking days or longer?

Well 5.2.10 was released three days ago and it isn't in EA yet. Given previous timeframes I would say about a week or so, it really depends on how long it takes them to do QA.

I just hope this isn't going to turn into another timeframe similar to MySQL 5.1. I understand about testing, but in EA you can choose which PHP version to have... It's not like MySQL which installs and that's it.

So hopefully it will only take a week or so. :)

I hope it doesn't take forever either, right now I have a site that I'm having Apache proxy requests to lighttpd + PHP 5.3.0 RC4. Setup was thrown together quick for testing some stuff, and there are downsides to it, but if you need it right away it can be done (without replacing the cpanel install php, that is).
