Good morning,

We're currently working on adding PHP 7.4 support to EasyApache4. We expect it to be released within the next few weeks. We initially began work on this in late December and uncovered some unforeseen upstream issues.

Thanks!

I think you should start working over PHP 7.4 about August/september to be ready when PHP 7.4 was ready.

Other did ...

cPanel is leading panel but not in this situation ...

Hello,

That just sounds like you're passing the buck upstream. Considering the recent price hikes, you should definitely have the dev power to complete the task faster. Not to mention, PHP 7.4 on cPanel, is totally doable. CloudLinux first had alt-php74-7.4.0-0.rc.5.1 available on October 31st, 2019 :)

This wasn't going to make it into the cPanel v86 release. As far as I am aware this is slated for v88 but there should be further communication on that. I'll update here with information as soon as I have more.

Not a good news, the PHP version is one of things that must have the highest priority in a web server panel developments.
Direct Admin, Plesk and literally all of Cpanel competitor have made available PHP 7.4 since December...

Hi,

We get request very often about the availability of 7.4 version.
I don't understand the "vote" on a feature like PHP Version. Sounds like a joke to vote for a feature that is essential for operation of a system like cPanel :D

Thank you

PHP 7.4 would have been added with or without the feature request @A Hartonian - Unfortunately, there were unforeseen issues that caused a delay in it's being added to the product as was stated by @cPanelAdam

And when will cPanel v88 be released? These delays are causing real pain points in our product development. Many of your competitors had 7.4 alpha out half a year ago. This, combined with your recent price spikes, does not look good for the future of cPanel. We have the option to switch to Interworx with our managed hosting provider, and that is becoming the path of least resistance.
