    PHP Chat & Java Chat

    Hi,

We have discovered that even if we disable the chat options from within WHM they are still active and can be access through cPanel.

Should these options not show as disabled when a client click the chat option in cPanel, or better still not show the link at all?

I know we can edit the themes and remove what we don't want enabled but surley if you disable something in WHM it should reflect this in cPanel.

Maybe there should be an option in WHM to enable/disable every feature based of this a theme could show either no link or a sorry feature disabled.

Also if a clients package has no mySQL databases then anything mySQL related should be hidden to that user.

    Kind Regards,

    Neil

I don't know much about the chat scripts that's in cpanel (I use other chat scripts). Maybe you can disable entrophychat and melange in WHM and terminate their processes to disable chat altogether?

    Disabling Melange Server

From the shell, how do you actually disable the Melange server? On their website they indicate it may be a security risk and I don't want people using it anyway.

Is there a config file somewhere?
