PHP Control of cPanel

Iv a PHP script for users to register at stomparmy.com an on successfull registration I want it to add an email forwarding rule for there user name @stomparmy.com to forward to there supplied email address. However the only method i have at adding email forwarding is via cPanel as its a hosted service and Iv no access to /etc Is there anyway of accessing cPanel functions through PHP to achieve this.
