php <defunct>

i was watching the process after the recent stable release... and the recent move to apache 1.3.28, and kept seeing alot of php <defunct> which i had never even seen php in the process list before... is this somthing new?.....

I'm getting hundreds of these on multiple machines... with teh update applied. Has killed three of my servers.

I'm recompiling apache on a couple servers to see if an update has been put out... I'm not 100% sure which time I applied the update.

Seems I can't kill the defunct processes...

Seems the buildapache on the site sstill has the issue.

i recompiled without phpsuexec and all is fine, going down for a reboot after 94 days..... well needed im sure

There was a bug in the php-suexec patch and it was reported fixed. May be you can try again with php-suexec.
