PHP include_path problem after easyapache

I compiled php on a new server with basic setting , and after compilation, getting following values in phpinfo() .

For Local Value

include_path qhÁ����„@A·ÄRB·SB·4RB·����$_B·HTTP_USER_AGENT�php

and for Master Value

include_path .:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php

So, a lot of scripts are not running, I tried defining include_path in .htaccess but, it is not really picking up that value from htaccess !!!!

Please help ...
