I really haven't found out much about this anywhere and I'm hoping someone here can help me out. I'm currently running the following:

PHP 4.4.1 with PEAR on WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.8.1-R30
    Fedora i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

When I PHP -v or any CLI, it spits back at me the following:

    root@server1 [/]# php
php: error while loading shared libraries: libmysqlclient.so.12: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
    root@server1 [/]#

I'm kinda still a noob at this, but pages are loading fine for all of my sites requiring PHP. Some of my people who use PEAR on the other hand are having issues and I think it might be because of this.

Any advice on where to start?

    Easy fix for you :)

    Code:
    ln -s /usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so.14.0.0 /usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so.12

check why .... we are using upgraded libmysqlclient, but it needs older one. So, give it older one :) VIRTUALLY.

Thanks. I SSH'd and ran that command and PHP now returns CLI commands. Now to install the PEAR DB packages.
