PHP safe mode

    How do I check whether my PHP safe mode turned OFF or ON?

    The safemode variable is set in php.ini

    What is the command line in root access to change it?

    you have to edit php.ini:

    as root do this:
    pico /usr/local/lib/php.ini

    then search for: safe_mod (you can press: ctrl + w to seach for a word)
    change it to: On

    exit (ctrl + x) and save changes with: y
