PHP safe?

I see that PHP is now supported in the last few builds of Cpanel.

I am currently developing a theme for my hosting company to use for all of our clients\' themes.

Is it safe for me to stop the ugly creating of this theme via HTML and start using PHP? I would like to do a footer and header include via PHP and show some information via PHP code in the cpanel..
