PHP script not sending email when called throught a cron with lynx

    PHP script not sending email when called throught a cron with lynx

    It works ok with lynx via the command line and through IE.

    Why is this not working through a cron?

    the question is why are you using cron to run a php file with lynx?

    instead of putting in the lynx command just use somethign along the lines of

    /usr/local/bin/php -q -f /path/to/file.php

    and it will do it without lynx.

    The file is not on the server I am running the crontab from.

    I've actually seen a trend in this lately. More than a few of our customers have cron entries like this:

    http://domain.com/article/weekmailer.php

    Ah, ok. Now I feel silly :cool: .

    What about the problem of no emails being received? Did anyone solve that? I've got a cron job backing up a database which works fine but it's not sending (or I'm not receiving) the email notification.
