Just moved on to a new centos server, and set up cpanel on it, and then moved all sites across to it.

For some reason one site is having issues with php session paths.

I'm getting this error for this one domain only.

[25-Feb-2019 10:03:21 Australia/Brisbane] PHP Warning: session_start(): Failed to read session data: user (path: /var/cpanel/php/sessions/ea-php72) in /home/xxxx/xxxxxx

As you can see I'm using php7.2 set up with multiphp.

I've checked other sites on this server, and even the ones running php7.2 are not experiencing this issue.

Hello @bpratt,

Can you open a support ticket so we can take a closer look at the system and see what's happening? You can post the ticket number here and we'll link this thread to it.

Thank you.

Discovered the error.

The particular website was trying to access the database at the old server's now unavailable ip address.

It is a Joomla 3.9 site, and the php error log was only showing the php session error.

updated the site configuration to the ip of the new cpanel server, and it all works perfectly again.

Couldn't understand why only one site was not working, so dug deeper and deeper to find the answer
