PHP subdomain creation

HI,
I am looking for a script or advise on how I would make a subdomain from a PHP script!

I have already made a step forward in what I am trying to do by creating a folder and copying files from a template directiry into the newly made directory, all I need now is to some how interact with cPanel to make the created directory a subdomain.

Any advice or links are greatly appreciated.
