Well my host has PHP 4.3.11 but a script i need to run needs 4.4.0 - i asked them and they said they only get PHP upgrades when they come with CPanel?

Does this sound right? Is there a CPanel update out there that comes with 4.4.0?

    Thanks for any help given.

The latest cpanel update do provide Php version 5.1.2 but its still in a beta version. Cpanel do not provide Php 4.4.0 but do provide 4.4.1 and 4.4.2.

No what you have said does not sound right. Your hosting provider will need to recompile apache using "Apache Update" function with a newer version of php. As far as I know Php will not be updated with a new release of cpanel, unless it is anything major.
