I tried easyapache as well as downloading buildapache.sea and trying all possible combinations, but PHP won't install on RH 9. It end with this error
    Installing PHP SAPI module
cp: cannot stat `sapi/cgi/php': No such file or directory
    make: *** [install-sapi] Error 1

Any idea how to solve this?

    Thanks

On same server I get error
Incorrectly built binary which accesses errno, h_errno or _res directly.

I found that both errors (above one and PHP won't install) are due to some changes in Glibc for Red Hat 9. But strange thing is when I run /scripts/fixheaders it installs this
    http://updates.cpanel.net//redhat/linux/9/en/os/i386/RedHat/RPMS/glibc-devel-2.3.2-11.9.i386.rpm

So it's glibc from Cpanel site and still it doesn't work with it. I tried to update to newest red hat version still the same. Seems to me that Cpanel can't work well with Red Hat 9.
I'll have to ask my data center to reinstall with 7.3. It's sad that Cpanel says they support Red Hat 9 but seems they don't.

Found solution, when installing choose option 6, then in PHP options uncheck Downgrade to 4.3.1 and now it installs OK.
