In whm, security center has the way to set up the php_admin_value open_basedir.

But on the shared hosting either reseller package or just shared account, whm security center is not available.

So for the shared hosting sites managed by cpanel. Are there anyways to set up php_admin_value open_basedir? Such as using .htaccess?

The reason I want set it up is to limit the script of one site only can access the files within its own document_root, plus the /tmp etc, so it cannot access files of other sites, or the files outside the document_root.

Without php_admin_value open_basedir set up, in the shared hosting, the script of one site can access other sites or even system files of that account user.

    Any advices?

Are you asking how you can do this with only having access to the cPanel interface, and no access to the WHM interface?
