phpBB & Advanced Guestbook - How to REMOVE them completely?

    Could anyone helps me?

For security purposes I would like that every Addon Script cPanel has was disabled.

I have uncheck them all, then unistall all remaining. I have also blocked all I could in the Feature manager for both, default and disabled feature set.
(The items I disabled - PHPBB2, Chat Rooms, Advanced Guestbook, Change Language, SSL Manager, SSL Host Installer)

However EACH cPanel update CHECK for further updates (in Addon Scripts) the Advanced Guestbook and phpBB and INSTALL phpBB!

This cause me to login to WHM and uncheck, then remove them after each cPanel update (fortunately we do manual upgrades and on the STABLE which has less updates)...

I'm a bit tired of it so I request help from the community. Anyone?

    Thank you!

Well, cPanel may well download them into its distribution, but that's of no consequence. However they should not be installable by end-users if they are not selected in Addon Scripts. If they are still installable by users after disabling them, then you should check bugzilla for an entry and if there isn't one, log one as it's obviously a bug.

I keep unchecking, and unchecking them....and to no avail after doing upcp they reappear as checked.

This is what is adding them, but no matter if I remove this "script" or file or modify it its overwritten:

    Code:
    root@server01 [/usr/local/cpanel/install]# more addonscripts
    #!/bin/sh

    if [ "`grep phpBB /var/cpanel/addonscripts`" = "" ]; then
            echo phpBB >> /var/cpanel/addonscripts
    fi
    if [ "`grep AdvancedGuestBook /var/cpanel/addonscripts`" = "" ]; then
            echo AdvancedGuestBook >> /var/cpanel/addonscripts
    fi

ANY ideas? Apparently this has never been fully investigated.

Just to confirm, I see the same behaviour. Currently using cPanel 10.8.2-S120 but its always happened.

    Yes, do as I suggested.
