phpbb + STMP

    I need to get phpbb working.
    it needs SMTP server information for it to begin to work.
    cPanel does not give this info' or it calls it something else?

    SMTP server is the mail server through which you are sending mails... You can create mail addresses through Cpanel, after that put the details in your forum configuration ............................ :)

    What details do I use?

    O.K.
    I used cPanel and got this inforomation for manual settings

    Manual Settings
    Mail Server Username: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXxxxxx
    Incoming Mail Server: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXx
    Incoming Mail Server: (SSL) XXXXXXXXXXXXXx
    Outgoing Mail Server: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX(server requires authentication) port XX
    Outgoing Mail Server: (SSL) XXXXXXXXXXXXxx
    Supported Incoming Mail Protocols: POP3, POP3S (SSL/TLS), IMAP, IMAPS (SSL/TLS)
    Supported Outgoing Mail Protocols: SMTP, SMTPS (SSL/TLS)


    phpbb2 is asking for:
    SMTP Server Address
    SMTP Username
    Only enter a username if your SMTP server requires it
    SMTP Password
    Only enter a password if your SMTP server requires it

    So what do i use? I have tried 10 times and still i am getting it wrong:mad:
    Anyone got a clue?
    Please help before I kill myself. lol:eek:

    cPanel Access Level:
    Root Administrator
    Did you create an email account yet? If not, do so via the cPanel interface.

    Settings:
    Server: localhost
    SMTP username: email@domain.com
    SMTP password: the password for that account that you created.

    email@domain.com should be the full email address you created.
