Hello,

I am getting following error when I login to phpmyadmin at user level:
mysqli_connect(): (28000/1045): Access denied for user 'some_user'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Please note that it happens to newly created accounts, old accounts seem to be working fine. Also at root level of WHM, the phpmyadmin is logging in fine.

As per search on google and cpanel forums I have done following:
- Reset the mysql root password.
- Reset the cpanel user password.
- Reset the server password.
- Rebooted the server

None of the above worked for me.

/scripts/restartsrv_mysql --status gives me:
mariadb (/usr/sbin/mysqld) is running as mysql with PID 2020 (systemd+/proc check method).

While grep sock /etc/my.cnf giving nothing.

I would suggest to raise a ticket with cPanel about this. This should be an underlying permission issue.

I tried to open ticket at cpanel, I am getting following error:

Support Access Error!
Unhandled exception string: failure to create a Zendesk ticket for: 14256711 at /home/support/lib/API/V3/Tickets/Submission.pm line 328.

How are you trying to open a ticket exactly? Is this from WHM? You can go directly to cPanel Customer Portal and open the ticket from there directly.

Lauren, I tried to open from cPanel Account. I tried two times and it gave me error. I tried again next day and it opened successfully. My issue is already resolved, the issue was my password was not very strong which caused issues with mariadb.
