    Dear comunity and support,

I have one issue with phpmyadmin on my cpanel installation. I have set up a remote MySQL server and databases, users are created without any errors.
I can insert into databases and query them, only phpmyadmin is making problems, when I try to start phpmyadmin from some user account it gives:
    Wrong username/password. Access denied.

I assume that there is some setting for phpmyadmin to change so it can connect to remote MySQL server.
I have tried to change the localhost in /usr/local/cpanel/base/3rdparty/phpMyAdmin/config.inc.php to the remote mysql servers IP but without any success???

    Please advise.
    :(

I am having this problem as well, How would it be fixed ? How does cpanel store the phpmyadmin login for local users to access a remote mysql server ?

On the server you are connecting to, you must create an additional mysql user with the connecting server ip address (myadmin side) as the host for the user.
