The problem still exists at least 10 years. I did change password few times, but
phpmyadmin still ask for MySQL password.

Is it possible to finally fix it?

    Hello :)

I moved this post to it's own thread. Could you let us know which version of cPanel is installed on your system? Do you notice any error messages in /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log when this happens?

    Thank you.

Do you notice any .my.cnf files in the account's home directory? Could you verify which method you are using to change the account's password?

    Thank you.
