    Hi

I am having a really tough time importing an excel database into a table on my Cpanel PHPMyadmin page. I have tried with .xls, .xlsx, .csv, .xls.zip, .xlsx.zip,etc. but nothing seems to be working.

When tried with .xls or .xlsx, the uploading will happen followed by processing but nothing would happen after that. Now, when I try with the .zip version of the above two docs, this is the message I receive

Again, zero rows have been imported. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

    Thanks a lot.

Whats in the database? Was this file created/exported via phpMyAdmin?

    Hi Infopro

The database has 3 tables. Two of them have a similar structure (one is supposed to be the backup to the other) and one more table. One of the similar tables has close to 15,000 rows of data (Each row with 26 columns of string and numeric data).

I was trying to upload a 25,000 row .xlsx sheet (of around 4 MB size) to the second table that has the same structure as the 15000 row table). The 'Sheet1' of the Excel sheet has been renamed with the name of the table. So basically I wanted to "import" this excel sheet into the table. This was created externally and has not been exported/created on the CPanel

    Thanks,

    Howdy,

The php excel module that phpmyadmin uses is unpredictable. I recommend saving your excel document to a csv and try importing the csv.

    Thanks!
