    As per phpmyadmin.net:

Here is patch level 3 for phpMyAdmin 2.6.1. It fixes a problem introduced in -pl2: can no longer update a field whose name starts with "str".
Also included, a fix for the privileges management module: escaping of the "_" character was not properly done, giving a wildcard privilege when editing db-specific privileges with phpMyAdmin.

Are there any plans of updating phpMyadmin? It currently stands at phpMyAdmin 2.6.1-pl2 in the CURRENT Tree.
Also that privileges link in current one is "NON FUNCTIONAL" -- it just throws a blank page

Is this upgrade considered "Unnecessary" By cPanel?

    TIA

Nobody but the developers should be responsible to fix the issue and fix it real fast now instead of letting it lie in dust. phpMyadmin without this is an absolutely useless component in cpanel. I think this has come about with cpanel 10.xxx

bugzilla entry is already there and tickets are closed with an answer that we have to wait for developers to fix the issue.

    Go on, have a guess
Unless you've logged it in bugzilla you cannot expect it to happen. Posting it here won't bring it to their attention.

Privileges issue is fixed and there was already a bugzilla entry somewhere in Jan 2005 or so. I can see the Privileges issue fixed in CURRENT

Bugzilla gets due attention when there are posts on forums too, otherwise how could a WHM Features Manager/cPanel bug just get no attention ... it's just staying there addressed to unconfirmed at cpanel.net with no action so far.
