    Hello.

I am having some trouble. I just rebuilt apache with phpsuexec and now some of my websites like blogyouself.net dont work (500 error)

I chmodded all files to 644 and all folders to 755 (hope these two are correct)

    I still have a 500 error.

Is there anything else I'm missing here? I checked and rechecked all my permissions.

Check that there are no .htaccess files in the directories that the affected PHP scripts reside.

If there are, check that there are no PHP-specific values in them (I'm betting there are). If so, remove them from .htaccess and pop them into a local php.ini file.

You would also do well by searching the forum - this topic has been covered in detail many times over and the answers are there if you look for them.

    Also,

check /etc/httpd/logs/error_log and /etc/httpd/logs/suexec_log for errors when you visit php pages. they will usually give you the information you need to narrow the problem down. It's usually permissions, or as webignition has said, .htaccess files.
