I plan on moving one of my boxes from one colocation facility to the next and was wondering what is the best way of doing this. I have 2 options:

1 - Take it down, drive a mile to the new facility, power it up, run the ip migration wizard.

2 - Set up another server at the new facility and then do a whm copy of the accounts.

I guess I want to know is how effective is the IP migration wizard tool in this scenario? Does it work well? Or should I just do the whm copy?

DNS is run on 2 separate dnsonly clusters so that is not my main concern. Has anyone done something like this before?

I think ip migration wizard is good option this will save your new server bandwidth. In both the cases you have to change your server ip it is better to use ip migration wizard.
