Its in V2.1 Beta and about one week away from release. Of course you'll notice some custom links (that are hard coded) which wont be included in a general release but are an option to all.

Adds new features to Cpanel and also is fast loading. The category Icons will be replaced with theme relative icons (color matching) I am designing them this week just needed a place holder. Also scripting in some features the isnt current available from Cpanel but server installed. Uses small flash logo and will be installing server side GD LIB functions as well.

What do you think so far?

Looks good, though it's a bit similar to xskin, might want to change the colors around a bit :)

Yes I was using a modified version of Xskin before and just thought the layout was more practical and comfortable for my needs. Difference is I knocked nearly 14MB off the Xskin so it loads considerably faster.

I guess I could package it up when fully done. I am optimizing the individual files over the next day or two and finishing up un the icons and stuff. Look for a final release next week for free to anyone who chooses. The thing is it can be easily customized from the CSS file changing the colors and backgrounds with one file. Nice!

    98% There! New Theme Added

Ahh! Finally working on the finishing touches to the design. Added a new black theme to go with it, a CSS rollover menu on top, new flash, and the theme drop down selector.

I have been going through the coding making sure most things are includes and not hard coded (Well except for the offsite links) and even they can be added to a .js file for easy updating.

I like the 2 themes easy functionality. News, changelog, credit, version...etc can all be updated from one file. I can even add more themes to the Theme selector if members want to use other Cpanel themes.

This week I am going to go thru the files, images...etc, and make sure they have just what's needed for the panel. I want to make it as light as possible.

Try the Theme Selector, it was so easy to code, a baby could've done it. What's best is you don't need to change it for other servers, except for adding different themes.

As for a release? Perhaps, if I feel comfortable with the coding and its integrity. Would like to rigorously test it more this week. But stay tuned..........

I feel I have one more thing to do and thats do something with the big boxes where email, directory paths and email login are. I feel its too plain and maybe a box with rounded corners, matching each theme, will finish off the theme. What do you think?

Although the current themes are a bit dark for my tastes, you've got an excellent start on a good alternative theme. What I really like is the Navigation links that stay at the very top, but would suggest the Forum link open in a new window -- seperate it completly from the CP.

Yes, I was already thinking of changing that link to open in a new window for the forum and probably should do so. As you said they are dark colors, which I like, but I dont see why a "lite" version isnt possible. As a matter of fact it would be an easy transition since most of the coloring and background images are in the CSS files.

I also would like to make a red version as well. So 3 dark ones and 3 light ones would just be a matter of copying over all the files to a new theme name and adjusting the CSS files and a few images.

    Thx for the tips!

    ;)

Well, instead of making another color (IE Red), I made a morph of the BLU/BLK series and suffice to say if you dont like dark then this is not for you but it does have a few more added features. I call it "Dark VisionZ". You can view it by using the same link and just changing theme. I like this one the best and will probably customize it with some added options not in cpanel control panels.
