Playing Nice With qmail

I am working for a client who has Cpanel installed. I recently changed their MTA from Exim/Sendmail to qmail.

The problem is that I can't get the email user's that Cpanel allows you to make to be recognized by qmail. It automatically rejects the email because the user wasn't found.

Any suggestions? If anyone has links to good resources on this, that would be great.

I could be wrong, but last time I looked cpanel doesn't support qmail as an MTA. I know Nick was talking about it through procmail I believe, but I never followed up on it. I'm not sure if that made it anywhere past a brain child.

You cannot expect to just drop qmail into a cpanel installation and have it work Out Of The Box(tm). The Exim that ships with cpanel has quite a bit of custom work done to it's configuration.

You would first need to configure qmail to read /etc/valiases, /etc/vfilters, and the /home/&user&/mail/&popacct&/inbox mailbox format.

I've never seen myself qmail work in a cpanel installation.
