    cPanel Access Level:
    Root Administrator
    Do you have CSF?
    It should be able to alert you when the cracking process runs and takes up a lot of CPU.

    It will also be able to tell you if any suspicious files exist on your system and it also does a system files integrity check.

    This is similar to a Brute Force attack, except that this is internal.

    You should also have mod_security installed to protect your web applications.

    So you are saying that having shell_exec disabled is not enough to stop this one?
