So this does not work anymore? Sadness.
I've tested and confirmed this still works in cPanel version 66. If it's not working on your system, try running the following command and then logging into WHM again to see if the option appears:

Code:
mv /var/cpanel/caches/_generated_command_files{,.backup}
Thank you.

Hello, With this command you are able to reactivate the legacy backup? Because it is very important, we make daily backups inside the server itself, disk /backup. And weekly backup (External) on Saturdays on another server via sftp.
Hello,

Yes, assuming the /etc/cpbackup.conf file exists and the BACKUPENABLE value in this file is set to YES, then running the following command and logging in again will ensure WHM >> Legacy Backup Configuration is displayed.

Code:
mv /var/cpanel/caches/_generated_command_files{,.backup}
Also, take a look at the recent entry on the cPanel Blog regarding the upcoming legacy backups deprecation:

Legacy Backup Deprecation in cPanel & WHM Version 74 | cPanel Blog

Thank you.

Hi, How will you let legacy backup end? We need to do 2 types of backup! will there be another way to do external backup?

Understand the case, here we do daily "incremental" backup on the second disk of the server /backup, and make a backup of all accounts (Weekly on Saturdays) on external server, for security. If something happens we have the external backup that is secure in another data center, if the backup legacy dies, how are we going to do this weekly external backup? The new backup system only allows you to make 1 type of backup.

Hi @Jorge Marcelino,

We plan to address that need before legacy backups are removed from the product. Here's the relevant quote from the blog post linked in my last response:

What’s up next?
While not currently available, we are working to add features that will help customers who might not want to migrate to the new backup system. One request is to allow a server owner to create multiple backups daily on any account, or have different retention schedules for different locations, or just store different backups on different locations altogether. Previously, a user would have to use both Legacy Backups and the Backup System to create two or more user backups on a single day. We have quite a few different feature requests for the Backup System, so please give them a look and vote on the ideas you’d like to see implemented! Take a look at all of the requests in the Backup category!
Thank you.
