Please Help with this error

    Hello Every One,

    I am encountering with following error while running upcp in server.

    Also the same error is coming while easyapache . :(

    Looks like you have some incorrect entries in /etc/ld.so.conf. If so, you might want to verify any listed actually exist. If not, comment them out and run:

    ldconfig

    Thanks for your answer. But sad that issue is still there.

    I had following line in /etc/ld.so.conf.

    include ld.so.conf.d/*.conf
    -----

    I commented it and ran ldconfig but error is same :(

    Looking a bit further, those modules belong to the glibc rpm. Are you running on a real server or VPS? If it's a VPS you have to be careful not to install the OS vendor glibc as it borks the Virtuozzo require ones. Those modules libdl.so.2 and libnsl.so.1 should reside in /lib/

    Hopefully someone who has experienced the same issue will have a better idea.

    Dear Chripy,

    It is a real dedicated server.

    Do you advice me to re-install glibc package in server ?

    If so , can you also please give bit insight if possible. :eek:

    The weird thing about this error is that even when upcp gives an error like
    When we actually run the script - /usr/local/cpanel/bin/dcpumon we don't get any errors on the server. Really weird.!!
    And even when we strace upcp, we see the libraries being correctly opened. relevant strace attached below

    We can see that after looking through all the directories, the file - libdl.so is eventually found by the system from the path - /lib

    The only difference I can see from the strace, when compared to other working servers is that it first searches the directories like - tls/i686/ etc. before finally arriving at the correct directory - /lib where as in the case of a working server, the first path on system trace is /lib

    Any help on this regard is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance. :)

    We even tried re-installing the glibc package with the default rpm for CentOS 5
    Nothing seems to be working here. :(

    Searched the forum and did the solutions. Still No use.
