    are you sure apache is running? You should be able to put your index.html file in /home/username/public_html/ and it should work.

    There are so many other things it could be but without a decent description of the problem and what has been done so far it's hard to help.

    Things to consider;

    Are the nameservers correct?
    Are you using the correct IP's for the nameservers?
    Has the domain resolved?
    Is apache running
    Is bind running
    is your site configured correctly in httpd.conf?

    Give us more to go by and we'll help. An actual domain name would be a start....

    Maybe he is just saying : I can't get into the right folder !

    In that case just do this:

    While logged in in your cpanel goto filemanager.
    Now you will see the structure of your domain (partially).
    To enter a subfolder you need to click on the folder-icon located near the foldername.
    If you click the foldername itself you will be presented several options on the right of your screen, this will NOT take you to the subfolder.

    I hope this solves your problem.

    Good thinking. I didn't even think of that possibility, and yet a while back Ione of my clients did exactly that. He clicked on the public_html folder name and then uploaded.
