    Hello All,

    I am new to forum as well as linux.
    Please anybody help me for the following line.

    lrwxrwxrwx 1 nobody nobody 0 Aug 1 11:51 /proc/2592/exe -> /home/username/public_html/project/files/temp/..\ \ /linux*

    Please explain this word by word.
    for Example :- The meaning of lrwxrwxrwx
    what is nobody?
    What does exactly this line indicates or what is exact meaning of this line
    I got this after firing the ps command

    I'd recommend acquiring an intro book to Linux or taking some online tutorials. However I will answer some basic things for you.

    rwx are permissions. r=read access, w=write access and x=executable permissions (you can execute scripts or programs in this directory, or this file can be executed)

    There are 3 sets of these. First is the owner of the file/folder, second is the group of the user that owns the file/folder and the last is for everyone else on the server (essentially).

    nobody is user nobody. nobody, like root, is a special type of user - might want to look that up :)
