Vote on Removing cPanel branding from the user Login page

Hello all,

Please support me on this. http://bugzilla.cpanel.net/show_bug.cgi?id=3074 The whole concept of branding is subverted by Cpanel having an unshiftable header with logo on the cpanel login page. This could easily be blank.

On our servers we can replace the images (will they be overwritten at updates?)
But on our rerseller accounts under other providers there's nothing we can do. It is also too late to implement a login script as all customers already login directly.

Thank you for all your hard work and the excellent Cpane,l but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remove these blasted logos, at least from the non-brandable parts of Cpanel. We pay enough already for the system and should not have to put up with this.

Tom :(

Go on, have a guess
Have you logged a bugzilla enhancement request? If not, do so to bring your idea to their attention. Then post the link to the entry back here so others can vote on it if they think it is a good idea.

Good idea. Done.

It is very very rare that I am irritated about something enough to go through the trouble of submitting requests, reports etc. I am not first to find this problematic, if you look at the post regarding Anand's login script you will see that a reseller complains that his users wonder if he is a reseller for cpanel, Something similar happened to us recently and that did it.

Here it is http://bugzilla.cpanel.net/show_bug.cgi?id=3074

What DO YOU THINK?

Do you really think it is acceptable for you to go through the trouble of branding your cpanel only to find that a counter image and company is presented to your users at login? As I say, we pay enough for the system and have a right to demand a professional treatment, not backdoor adverrtising, as though we were using a free service.

Hi Chirpy,

Well this is not an enhancement IMHO. Nor are the fixes that are needed for boxtrapper HTML for months now.

If you can brand cPanel, you should be able to brand webmail in cPanel as well. If you can use boxtrapper then the page should work correctly and look good.

The X theme itself is not complete. So this is not a bug, nor an enhancement. Just an unfinished theme that needs some attention.

Fair enough, and I don't disagree. Still needs a bugzilla entry to bring the issue that concerns you to the developers attention, though. And the more people that vote, the more likely it will receive attention over other developments.

Well I tried that myself once before (submitting to BT) It never got very far. And this was the same type of thing. 'sort of'

If you run backup from cPanel, it mounts backup drive. It should unmount it when complete.
I think...

Bugzilla Bug 2168

I'm not complaining, I think cPanel is great stuff. But who's got time to ask for someone to vote on something that should already work. And these are small issues. As long as it works I figure I'll wait for them to catch up on it all.
