Hello, I am transferring sites from Plesk 7.54 to Cpanel 11 and am running into a stumbling block. I keep getting an error when try to use Cpanels transfer program:

ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'admin'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Does anyone have a similar problem and have a solution for something like this?

    Thank you.

If you would like, if you have root access to the server, you may contact cPanel directly regarding this issue. We offer a Free Transfer Assistance Program to anyone looking to migrate to cPanel/WHM from Plesk.

You can find more information about this program at:

    Hello-

Thank you for your quick response. I have been in touch with cpanel via your online ticket system, and let me tell you, the techs that have been helping me have been fantastic. However, the last response that I received was as follows:

    Hello,

There appears to be a problem with the mysql configuration on the plesk server,
which isn't allowing cPanel to access the mysql databases properly to transfer
    them.

    server1# mysql
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'admin'@'localhost' (using password:
    YES)

You will need to get this issue resolved in order for the transfers to complete
successfully. Unfortunately, since this is a Plesk server, we are unable to
assist with fixing the mysql issue as we are unfamiliar with the way plesk
    configures the mysql service.

This obviously doesn't help me much or tell me anything on any possible solutions to fix this.

I really like cpanel over plesk, and am going to purchase cpanel if I see that I can successfully transfer everything over.

So did they succeed in transferring you over to cPanel?
