So keep the ads in their own forum - that's pretty much what the skins forum is anyway. I'm often interested in new products that work with cPanel, how do I find out about them if no advertsing is allowed? I want to know if a product exists that could help me provide better services to my customers.

I think the advertisement forum is a great idea, but it should have basic rules.

For example, we wouldn't want ads for another control panel company or for herbal viagra !

Don't like it, we allready see over a thousand ads everyday!

It amazes me how we stay sane with all this forced thinking and mis directed attention.

I think search engines and directories are key. But forcing people to see junk they most likly don't care about is wasted attention.

None of my sites have cross advertising or baners.

Only sectons where thy can find services by choice and they all do great. A lot better then kick the football banners, people like to shop and spend money they don't like to be forced to try and do something.

    Just my 2 cents :D

Also signatures and usernames don't count in this rule :p

I would not mind. New information on related subjects, I would find useful.

Problem is " how to moderate"

Anyone remember the internet before it became a shopping mall?
