I don't manage my DNS server but leave it to my DC to handle it. At the moment I can receive mails normally and check mails through webmail. But I can't check POP3 mails through outlook express.

I have A record for mail.mydomain.net to point to the IP assigned through WHM but can't check mail through Outlook express (POP3).
    I can't telnet 64.xx.xx.xx on port 110 either.

What should I check? Does this has anything to do with my imap not running?

    Thanks a lot!

I dont' get any errors. It's like I am check in mail from a non-existence host. No response, it doesn't even ask me to login.

I check service status in WHM it shows everything (including pop server) running except for imap.

You won't be able to telnet into port 110 unless you have Telnet running on port 110. Mail is all that usually runs on this port.

Ping the IP. If it brings up a response, then it's active. You should be able to telnet into port 21 I believe.

Check any firewalls you may be running to make sure port 110 is open. If it is, then try rebooting the POP server. If that wdoesn't work, check the DNS again for any spelling mistakes.

This is the point I'm at, I don' thav email working either. I have the same problem as you, but it works if I use the IP as the POP and SMTP server. I can send and receive internal mail form others on the domain, I can send from the account, but I can't receive mail to the account from the outside. My DNS appears correct as well.

Yes you can telnet to the 110 port and this is the response you should get

    +OK POP3 [DarkORB cppop 3.0] at [host_ip]
