    Hi,

    This is basic, I know:

If I want to avoid spam accumulating in a pop3 account,
    can I have a forwarder WITHOUT a corresponding pop3,

    OR,

will that only work IF the main account isn't set to :fail:?

If so, what's the key to use pop3 e-mail accounts forwarders
and AVOID SPAM ACCUMULATION on such pop3?

    Thanks,

    Pete

Yes, forwarders without POP accounts are fine
I believe forwarders work fine with the default set as :fail:

Regarding the spam issue, I don't believe that any combindation of forwarders will prevent the accumulation of spam. The only reliable option is to install something that will (relatively accurately) detect and tag spam and viruses. On this matter, I'd strongly recommend finding Chirpy on this forum and, with a small but well worthy fee, purchasing his Mailscanner package listed at http://configserver.com/cp/mailscanner.html.
