Pop usually will not be up without cpanel license.

Fix : Run this command ==> #/scripts/restartsrv cppop

To check whether pop is up.Please do telnet.

    # telnet localhost 110
    Trying 127.0.0.1...
    Connected to localhost (127.0.0.1).
    Escape character is '^]'.
    +OK Hello there.

    Enjoy using this:)

cppop is the old cPanel properitery POP3 server that is no more supported. cPanel is now supporting the Coruier POP3 server.

    THANK YOU!

I have been having problems with my POP3 after cPanel upgrade and apache update. I can't figure out why until your post.

Since this works, it looks like cPanel still supports this. I am using Release Tree.

CPPop is only used on systems using the antiquated mbox format of storing mail on the server. You may want to consider migrating to maildir as mbox support is coming to an end and will not be supported in version 12.
