Pop3 Vs. Pop3(ssl)

    I would like to know what is difference (practically) between POP3 and POP3(SSL)?

    It is very easy to find out descriptions of POP3 and POP3(SSL) but I am asking this question because know what is advantage/disadvantage of POP3 and POP3(SSL)???

    POP3 is a plain-text protocol, meaning user credentials and emails are sent in plain text.

    POP3 over SSL/TLS routes over a SSL-encrypted port, meaning the data is encrypted rather than sent in plain text.
