    Hi,

We have had a server running cPanel with ev1 servers for quite some time. We have decided to build our own server and install it in a local datacentre.

The box has been installed and accessing whm and cpanel works...kind of.

cpanel: port 2082 and https 2083 work fine.
whm https 2087 works fine, but http 2086 does not.

I am wondering if anything has changed of late to restrict /whm to port 2087?
If I redirect requests for /whm and /cpanel to the SSL ports it works fine.

    Anyone have any pointers?

As silly as it might seem, the box had NO firewall in place when installed, so that should not be an issue..

    TIA.

    Brad

No. I think I found the problem though. The DC has advised they block ports, so I am rying to work it out with them.

tcpdump on both ends (my desktop and then the server) shows packets leaving my desktop, arriving at the server, server responds, but I never see the return packets. So I am assuming they have blocked this port outbound...Their support staff advised it was because of their port blocking. Funny thing is, they told one of our other guys they sell servers with cPanel... Why would they block the port then? heh
