Possible to allow user to change themes via login?

It is possible to pass a parameter to /login/ page which specifies the Theme name?

I want to have a drop-down list of themes on my customised login page, which allows the user to choose their theme before logging in, as some of my customers have browsers which barf at some of the newer themes.
