I'm kind of new to cPanel. On our current in-house sever, we use PostFix for mail. It allows us to set email Alias' whereas all mail addressed to one address is automatically forwarded to the specified address - HOWEVER, copies of those messages ARE NOT kept on the server.

From what I read in the cPanel setup for Forwarders, a copy of each message is kept. I don't want this, as clients will never check the actual box.

BTW, and this may answer my question, if I setup a Forwarder WITHOUT setting up an actual box for the domain email used - for instance, if I set a forward for > - but don't actually create a box - will the forwarder work - and will this accomplish my goal of not having such mail saved on the server?

If not, how do I set up a true Alias where all mail to a domain based email is forwarded to another address WITHOUT a copy being saved on the server?

If you set up a forwarder but not set up an actual account for that address, then a copy will not be left on the server. Note, you can set up multiple forwarders for a single address if you desire.
