    I installed postgres:
    1. I play /scripts/installpostgres
    2. I put password to database in WHM and I installed config (in WHM - Postgres Config).

I login to cpanel account and create user and database. All is ok but I can't connect to my database from php script:
"Warning: pg_pconnect(): Unable to connect to PostgreSQL server: could
not connect to server: Connection refused Is the server running on
host localhost and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432?".
    I edit file /var/lib/pgsql/data/postgresql.conf (I change tcpip_socket to true and port = 5432, max_connections = 32.

    My pg_hba.conf file:

    local all all md5
    host all all 127.0.0.1 255.255.255.0 md5

I restart postgres and now I can connect to my database. But now I can't see my database and username in my cpanel account. Why? I can't create new database.

When I changed file pg_hba.conf (line 1: local all all md5 to local all all trust) I can create databases in cpanel and I see it. But now all my clients can login to database as other client (from phpPgAdmin).

    2 question:
I create database user_test and user: user_test and I change privileges. When I login to phpPgAdmin as user_test I can't see my database user_test. When I login as test I see it. Why?

Just to clarify, when a database is created it is assigned to the cPanel username (you can login to phpPgAdmin with the cPanel username and see the database) but when you use the username you assign to the database it shows nothing and you can’t connect to the database using either username.

    Could someone please help us?
    Thank you.

    Hi,

    Any news about this?
I have the exact same problem.
We can create users to use with postgresql but they can't access the database. Only the cpanel user can access the database.
