postgresql isnt starting

    I tried this after installing the RPMs and got this error



    root@server1 [/var/lib/pgsql]# /etc/rc.d/init.d/postgresql start
    An old version of the database format was found.\nYou need to upgrade the data format before using PostgreSQL.\nSee (Your System's documentation directory)/postgresql-7.2/README.rpm-dist for more information.

    Try running /scripts/installpostgres

    I have the same problem. /scripts/installpostgres isnt working.

    From shell:
    rm -rf /var/lib/pgsql/data
    /scripts/upcp
    /scripts/installpostgres
