    Hello Michael,

    Thanks for the information.

    One more question.

I have a cPanel server and cluster DNS server. Now it's using Bind. I would like to get DNSSEC by enabling powerDNS on my standalone server. In PowerDNS what is the backend used Sqlite or mysql ?

    cPanel Server has = NS1 and NS2
Cluster DNS Server has = NS3

If I remove the cluster server then switching the BIND to Power DNS is there is any issue will occur. All I need is want to remove the cluster and enabling the Power DNS on my base server to get DNSSEC. Would all domains in the dns on the server still work ? What will happen to all the zones files..Will these just work from bind to Powerdns. ? Are there any compatibility issues?

    Hello,

PowerDNS uses a bind backend as opposed to MySQL. There's a feature request open you may find interest in at:

    MySQL Backend for PowerDNS

That said, switching name servers in "WHM >> Nameserver Selection" won't result in any issues with the zone files themselves. The only concern would be that if any domain names use "NS3" as a name server for their domain name at their registrar, then that name server may no longer have the most recent DNS updates as clustering would then be disabled.

    Thank you.
