Hello there

I've installed opcache with easyapache 4, but I see that some of the opcache settings I've done through the editor are not valid. As a result of my research I see that some settings are read from the file "/opt/cpanel/ea-php5x/root/etc/php.d/opcache.ini".

I've edited the settings in this file and the settings are now valid. But how can I keep the settings here when an update to easyapache 4 comes?

Thank you.

Hi @vacancy

Changes made to php extensions/modules within their individual .ini files should not be overwritten unless you reinstall (or remove) the module/extension.

We elude to this a bit here:
PHP Options - EasyApache 4 - cPanel Documentation

  • The system does not automatically configure OPCache. If you do not manually configure OPCache after you install it, it will provide no benefits.
