Prevent overload while doing backup

Hello!

I noticed overload while backing up a 5 gb account, or manual archiving in individual accounts.
gzip compression level is 6 (default).
Maybe short pauses while backup execution can prevent CPU overload. An option should be available for proper adjustment.

Hey there! When cPanel performs the overnight backup we do check for load on the system and then pause the backup if the server breaks that load threshold. However, when manually performing this work with pkgacct or through the cPanel interface, this same option is not applied.

This sounds like it would be a great feature request to open using the link in my signature below, as that could help lessen the load on servers while these tools are running.
