Hello,

My previous exerience with hosting is with a small web hosting package where I have a couple of sites hosted. So that is where I am currently.

I am in the process of transferring a website to another server, the cPanel account that is set up has the previous domain listed as its main domain. What I would like to know is am I able to change the main domain on the account so that it doesn't point away to another domain. So that /index.php does not go to xxxxxx.co.uk but stays within the server of xxxxxx.server.blah.co.uk.

Work needs to be done on the site before I want it live on the domain. As currently the new copy of the site is redirecting to the old site through its domain. I need this to stop so I can fix other problems within the site.

Many Thanks,

Hello :)

Your web hosting provider can modify the primary domain name associated with the account via:

"WHM Home » Account Functions » Modify an Account"

This option is not available to you if you only have cPanel access alone.

Thank you.
