hi..
i have vps with cpanel 5 days now..
primary email cant login with webmail and outlook..

all other accounts work fine..

what is the reason with primary account?

It appears to be intended as a reply to this thread, not the other one, so I moved it.

You can log into the Linux shell (SSH) as root and use the tail command to look at /var/log/maillog while you try to log in, and that will show you the problem. You can also submit a ticket using the link in my signature, and we will be happy to look at the problem for you. You can post the ticket number in this thread so we can follow up.

What do you mean by primary? If your cPanel username is john, there is no 'john @yourdomain.com' actual email account, you need to create one.

i mean... my primary domain (name server and hostname) is domain.com
i create [email protected] and on this have problem..

if i open another account for example domain2.com , and i create email [email protected] work fine..

Most likely, you clicked the option to upgrade the ticket to priority support. There is a $30 charge for that. There is no charge to submit a complimentary ticket.

While you can upgrade a ticket to priority support for a fee, note that it does not change our scope of support, only the order in which we will reply to the ticket. We work priority tickets before complimentary tickets, so the fee reduces the time before we can reply, but does not increase the scope or amount of support that we provide.

Sean found in ticket 4751573 that the problem was your server's hostname was just a domain name. The hostname must be a fully qualified domain name, in the format host.domain.tld, or mail will break. You had a hostname in the format domain.tld, and that was the cause of the problem.
