    Hello everyone,

I have a dedicated server were I have my own site. (www.mkehosting.com)
On this server I have a few accounts. One of them is www.ensermo.com.
For this account I would like to use the namserver ns1.ensermo.com and ns2.ensermo.com INSTEAD of the standard ns1.mkehosting.com and ns2.mkehosting.com

I know how to do this if ensermo.com is a reseller.
You need 2 extra IP's and just follow the standard procedure.

BUT what I basically want is to have ns1.mkehosting.com and ns1.ensermo.com to be the same nameserver (both have same IP). I do not want to use extra IP's (as I don't have more left)

So if I would ping ns1.ensermo.com and ns1.mkehosting.com I would get the same IP.

Is this possible with a simple DNS record change? (In DNS Functions)
Adding an A or NS record for ensermo.com ?

Would I still have to "Register the DNS server" or just change my DNS entry at my registrar for ensermo.com???

    Thanks in advance.

just register your ns with the ip's for ns1.mkehosting.com and ns2.mkehosting.com
and allow sharing nameservers in whm tweak settings nameservers are ip driven not domain driven

    Thanks dalem.

So you mean just go to ENOM, Godaddy or whoever the registrar is of ensermo.com and register ns1.ensermo.com and ns2.ensermo.com with the same IP as ns1.mkehosting.com and ns2.mkehosting.com ?

I checked the allow nameserver ip sharing in whm tweak. Is there any "security" or "performance" issue if I check this?

yep thats it some registars will not let you double up nameservers on the same ip i think enom is one of them its ok with godaddy
