Problem adding nameservers

Hey, I bought a server about a month ago that came with WHM/cPanel. I have been trying to setup nameservers since then. I assign the nameservers IP addresses and then add the A entries. I check the DNS zones and there are zones for both nameservers, but when I set a domain to the nameservers it says that they don't exist. Am I missing something?

Have you setup the dns with your domain registrar?
